One of Zimkita's biggest inspirations is nature because so much, if not all design starts with nature's building materials, colour and elements. Other major sources of inspiration for her come from architecture, art, travel, nature, and the ways in which people interact with spaces. Zimkita has a finance background and resigned from her corporate job to pursue her creative passion for Interior Design full time. A few of Zimkita's achievements in the 7 years that she has been in the industry consist of being invited as a trends guest speaker at True Love’s 2019 Womens Day event, and being in the top 3 of the SABC Win A Home Design Competition season 2. In late 2014, she co-founded Blaque Pearl Lifestyle, a fully integrated interior decor and design company that provides clients with a bespoke service that incorporates lifestyle with design. Blaque Pearl Lifestyle provides tailor-made design solutions for private, corporate and commercial clients. Their distinct creativity and design approach offers imaginative and visually spectacular decor by creatively weaving in new trends with the classics to deliver on their client's vision.
